For two months we have been working on our Next Leadership book to take it with us to the #NextChampions event in Cologne on March 28, to which Dr. Felser had once again invited us. Four hours before departure, we were relieved of the suspense of whether the 500 books would reach us in time. The joy about it was great!
With 50 copies hot off the press in our luggage, we set off for Cologne, where a craft beer tasting in WUZE-TOWN awaited us in the evening to set the mood for the next day. We immediately got into conversation with our table neighbors from BOSCH [&] Co. and were already able to win over the first Next Leadership fans there for our upcoming session!
The #NextChampions opened in the morning in the huge event hall in front of 500 guests with a lecture and panel discussion about the Hidden Champions. The OWL region was highlighted in particular by Hermann Simon, where we ourselves also see a lot of potential for new business. Afterwards, we watched and listened to many sessions about Next HR and Next Marketing and New Work, before it was our turn to do a session ourselves in the afternoon. Moderated by Erwin Stickling, Editor-in-Chief of Personalwirtschaft, Michael Kühner kicked off our session titled “Next Leadership – What’s Left of Leadership” with our insights and approaches to Next Leadership. Supported by Christina Schulte-Kutsch, Vice President Leadership Development at Deutsche Telekom, among others, we were delighted to welcome many visitors who engaged in lively discussions with us on the topic of Next Leadership.
We are happy to have been part of this great event and are already looking forward to next year, because in recent years the organizer has always outdone himself. What comes after Phantasialand?
