Thomas Burkhard and Michael Kühner are the initiators of the Next Leader Journey and tell you why they have launched this unique learning journey for you:

Frequently asked questions about our Next Leader Journey
Our Next Leader Journey is distinguished above all by its broad scope and simultaneous flexibility of formats and content. The combination of video boosters, peer groups, work sessions, 1:1 coaching, learning materials and further learning impulses as well as literature tips is unique on the market! This way you can be sure that you won’t miss any relevant content because you will find the most important leadership topics in a sensible structure. As you can also decide for yourself which topics are most important to you in any given week, you can also flexibly adapt this structure and view the content you need at any given time! You can deepen this independent development of content in exchange with our learning guides and other new managers.
You will benefit most from the Next Leader Journey if you can apply what you have learned directly to your day-to-day leadership and also bring your everyday challenges to the peer groups and coaching sessions. As we start a new Journey every 2 months, you can still join in good time when the management job is about to start or is starting. However, if you want to prepare yourself well and familiarize yourself with the new role in advance, we recommend the Basic Journey. This will give you important impulses for preparation and you can also book individual formats as required.
The Journey naturally aims to successfully master the first 6-12 months of the new management function. If you have not been a manager for more than 3 years and have experienced little or no support or training to date and are also keen to learn and work on the topic of leadership, it is never too late and you are welcome to join us. Please be aware that most of your peers will probably bring up topics that you may already have dealt with. But of course, others can also benefit from your experience and some intuitive behavior can certainly be viewed differently in retrospect and can provide valuable insights for the future.
Our Next Leader Journey is so flexible that you can catch up on everything even if you are absent for a longer period of time. You can access the comprehensive learning formats (video booster and all additional work materials) throughout your entire journey. And since you plan your participation in peer groups and work sessions yourself, you always remain variable here too. You can plan more intensive periods with lots of appointments as well as periods with fewer appointments. Should you really be absent for a longer period of time due to illness, we will simply extend the Journey time by mutual agreement.
A new learning module with a thematic focus awaits you every month. Based on the classic challenges of a young manager, we have put these key topics in a coherent order for you. Every month, you will receive weekly video boosters from your learning guides, who will not only provide you with theoretical knowledge, but above all give you the right impetus for your further development. To help you put these ideas into practice, there is a wide range of workshops and peer groups with other managers every month. You can also work on the issues raised in this way individually in the 1:1 coaching sessions.
That’s not enough for you? Then our Deep Dive is just the thing for you! To support you even more in your further development, we provide you with a wide range of additional materials. This allows you to further deepen your knowledge according to your interests and professional requirements.
You always remain flexible throughout the Next Leader Journey! You decide how long your journey should be and which formats you want to use. You choose which weekly content is relevant for you in your day-to-day management work right now. You decide which topics of the workshop sessions and peer groups interest you the most – or you can even initiate a meeting yourself on a topic that is close to your heart. The 1:1 coaching sessions are also based on your concerns and your schedule. If you realize during your Journey that you need even more content or that a flat rate for peer groups and work sessions is right for you, you can simply book additional formats.
